As the Senior Technical Specialist, some of your responsibilities will include:
Provide technical and consultancy services to customers, peers and other team members in the development, support, or enhancement of application systems. Responsibilities include a high-level proficiency in all areas of a System Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Promote the optimisation of TMR on-premise and cloud architecture and application development process, by providing technical advice, and reports to support effective management decisions. Provide technical expert advice and mentoring to the team to meet agreed budgets and deadlines. Promote information technology best practice within TMR by coaching other technical staff in effective system development techniques and proactively reviewing technical documentation, including standards, system design and coding. Assist in the implementation of quality improvement programs in information management, information systems, information technology and telecommunications. Share knowledge and skills with appropriate departmental resources by fostering a positive learning environment and active mentoring. Research, recommend and develop solutions in allocated area of responsibility within the application development environment. Who Are You?

Due to the sensitive nature of the data accessible in this role, a criminal history check will be required.
Experience and Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in BI solution architecture for both cloud-based and on-premise systems. Expertise in Data Modelling, Advanced SQL, and mastery over data flow processes including ingestion, transformation, storage, and visualisation. Proficiency within Azure or AWS ecosystems, embracing services and data tools such as Data Factory, Databricks, Redshift, Glue, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Rich experience with relational database systems and technologies. Demonstrable command of DevOps methodologies, with a knack for tools like Git, CI/CD, and deployment pipelines. An understanding of BI tools including but not limited to Datastage, Cognos Analytics, PowerBI, and Tableau.
