About You:
As an experienced electrical or mechanical practitioner, you've spent the last few years in automation, testing and commissioning of heavy industrial rotating machinery. Experience with hydropower assets would be seen as highly advantageous. With deep technical knowledge you will bring a collaborative approach to your work and enjoy problem solving in conjunction with others. You have hands on experience using and analysing outputs from high-speed instrumentation and data logging equipment, with the ability to prepare high quality written documentation to support commissioning activities. This position will give you the opportunity to travel to picturesque locations across Tasmania so ability to travel and stay away is required. About the role:
Working closely with an assortment of site-based staff and project teams including project managers, outage managers and other engineers/tech officers, you will be spending a considerable amount of time on site. In this hands-on role, you'll be testing and commissioning our industrial power stations after major refurbishment outages to ensure their sustainability and reliability into the future. When you're not in the field, you'll be able to take advantage of our flexible working arrangements while networking with high performing experts in the industry from our Hobart office.
