About You: As a Senior Technical Officer, you've spent the last few years planning, implementing, and possibly commissioning projects in an electrical generation, transmission, or distribution environment. Experience with hydropower assets would be highly advantageous. You will bring a collaborative approach to your work and enjoy problem-solving in conjunction with others.
You have hands-on experience in the implementation of electrical equipment upgrades, ideally in LV, MV, and EHV environments, together with the ability to prepare high-quality documentation to support planning, installation, and commissioning activities. This position will provide you the opportunity to travel to picturesque locations across Tasmania, so the ability to travel and stay away on occasion is required.
About the role: Working closely with site-based staff, contractors, and project teams including project managers, operators, outage managers, and other engineers/tech officers, you will divide your time between the planning and implementation of assigned activities associated with the electrical programs of work. In this hands-on role, you'll work on the specification, planning, and delivery of various electrical replacement or refurbishment projects across major plants from transformers, alternators, and switchgear to AC and DC systems to ensure their sustainability and reliability into the future.
