For more information about Hydro, please visit our website: About You As a Senior Technical Officer, you've spent the last few years planning, implementing, and possibly commissioning projects in an electrical generation, transmission or distribution environment.
Experience with hydropower assets would be seen as highly advantageous.
You will bring a collaborative approach to your work and enjoy problem solving in conjunction with others.
You have hands-on experience in the implementation of electrical equipment upgrades, ideally in LV, MV, and EHV environments, together with the ability to prepare high-quality documentation to support planning, installation and commissioning activities.
This position will give you the opportunity to travel to picturesque locations across Tasmania, so the ability to travel and stay away on occasion is required.
About The Role Working closely with an assortment of site-based staff, contractors and project teams including project managers, operators, outage managers, and other engineers/tech officers, you will be dividing your time between the planning and implementation of assigned activities associated with the electrical programs of work.
In this hands-on role, you'll be working on the specification, planning and delivery of a variety of electrical replacement or refurbishment projects across major plant from transformers, alternators, and switchgear to AC and DC systems to ensure their sustainability and reliability into the future.
When you're not in the field, you'll be able to take advantage of our flexible working arrangements while networking with high performing experts in the industry from our Hobart office.
