What we are looking for: As our Senior Technical Officer – Drainage, you'll be at the heart of shaping and improving our drainage and catchment systems.
You'll work alongside the Senior Engineer Drainage, diving deep into investigations and uncovering valuable insights that will drive major infrastructure projects.

What your day could look like: Investigating the cause of flooding caused by overland flows Developing prioritisation criteria for CCTV inspection of Council's underground drainage network Reviewing drainage and flooding impacts for a proposed 60 lot subdivision Reviewing and improving customer responses to drainage complaints What you'll need for success: Diploma (AQF Level 5) or above, qualification in Civil Engineering or other qualification in a related field (or ability to obtain the relevant qualification within 3 months of appointment) and / or extensive relevant experience in a Civil Engineering environment Experience with relevant software Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations Driven to succeed Excellent problem solving skills High level interpersonal skills in order to provide excellent customer service and work effectively as part of a team What's nice to have: Extensive experience in a Local Government infrastructure environment Extensive experience in a drainage or catchment environment Benefits of Working with Council Committed to providing quality services to our community, we strongly support an inclusive and values driven culture, recognising your individual skills, knowledge and talent.
