Who are you? As a qualified professional, with a Certificate III or IV in a relevant mechanical discipline (or equivalent), you're eager to apply your heavy machining expertise in a new role at the Hydro Workshop.
You possess project management skills and practical experience in a workshop setting, showcasing your ability to foster teamwork and collaboration to ensure successful project delivery.
Capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you have the planning and scheduling skills necessary for this position.
Proficiency in MS Office is essential, and experience with Microsoft Project, SAP, and AutoCAD is highly desirable.
About the role: To put it simply - you will contribute to the planning of assigned work at the Cambridge Facility and help lead the workshop team in the delivery of our Major Works refurbishment program, replacing hydropower assets that have been operating for over 100 years!
As a Senior Technical Officer, you will be…
Planning and outlining the detail of work coming through the Cambridge workshop, to define the schedule, cost, quality, and risks.
This also includes procurement activities for materials and engaging of contracted services both on and off site. Optimising workshop throughput to meet the required outage duration in line with cost of lost production, resource constraints, safety, and risk. Coaching and supporting the workshop team and providing technical expertise in line with your experience. Identifying and engaging with external resources and contractors as required to progress planned work. Working closely with a range of stakeholders including the broader Major Works, Production Operations and Assets & Infrastructure teams.
