The opportunity As we continue our transformation to become a stronger, simpler and customer-centred organisation, we are expanding our Global Architecture Platforms team based here at the Sydney CBD offices and are looking for a commercially astute Senior Technical Business Analyst. The role will be an integral part of the Global Platforms team and responsible for conducting analysis of business and user needs in order to develop requirements to support and implement the corporate and business objectives of the assigned platform and function.
Your new role Undertake the analysis for business problems and translate them into requirements to ensure solution meets business requirements.Write user stories, manage content and provide solution alternatives and recommendations.Ensure requirements accurately and sufficiently describe business needs and result in desired business outcomes through to implementation.Coordinate solution design with IT and ensure business readiness and participation on projects.Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing, including test planning, user coordination, test execution and timely completion to identify and eliminate any risk to change implementation.Take ownership of problems and proactively resolve technical problems, ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements.Collaborate, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure business requirements are well communicated and understood.Support scrum ceremonies sprint planning, showcases, stand-ups and retrospectives as the squad Scrum Master.Review and manage platform backlog – planning and prioritising according to business needs.Maintain the relationship with all vendors providing solutions. Create and operate a framework so all stakeholders understand the platform needs and strategic direction.About you Experience with digital and content management platform Genesys is essential, preferably within Financial Services/Insurance industry.Demonstrated experience in translating business requirements into technical solutions.Knowledge of industry best practices associate with business analysis and governance.Strong documentation, reporting writing and facilitation skills.Ability to engage with business representatives and communicate in a collaborative manner.Ability to translate user requirements into business cases.Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship building skills.About QBE We can never really predict what's around the corner, but at QBE we're asking the right questions to enable a more resilient future – helping those around us build strength and embrace change to their advantage.
