THE ROLE The Senior Technical Authorisation Officer is responsible for assisting the Housing Call Centre (HCC) in evaluating queries from contractors employed by the Department who carry out vacated and responsive maintenance works on the department's public properties and community buildings.
The Technical Authorisation Team will use their trade and building skills and knowledge to review and accurately process contractor claims, ensuring appropriate maintenance processes are undertaken, measured against agreed contractual and service delivery standards.
The Senior Technical Authorisation Officer provides support and leadership to the whole team by resolving escalated queries, maintaining best practice, and assisting staff with their developmental needs, performance, and day-to-day technical queries.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE: Provide high-quality service to contractors in relation to vacated and responsive maintenance works on the department's public properties and community buildings.Assess contractor queries for vacated and responsive maintenance services and make decisions from a range of established policies and procedures, legislation, and regulations specific to the role.Review and accurately process contractor claims ensuring appropriate maintenance processes are undertaken, measured against agreed contractual and service delivery standards.HOW TO APPLY All VPS employees (and ex-VPS employees with extended access to the Jobs and Skills Exchange website) MUST apply via the Jobs and Skills Exchange portal.
