Seeking an experienced Senior Technical Analyst (SQL) for a fixed-term position available until 30 September 2025.Opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service.The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Analyst (SQL) to provide a critical role within Technology Solutions and Data Security.
About the Business Unit The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.
Technology Solutions and Data Security is delivering the Data and Digital Reform Agenda, which focuses on meeting the department's data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes.
Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded projects; and oversees the delivery of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
About the Role The Senior Technical Analyst (SQL), Systems Monitoring Unit is within the System Development and Support group, responsible for providing support to the Systems Monitoring team with data requirements.
The role provides specialist data analysis support for FES users of the infringement management system, including development and management of reporting for operational matters out of the system, and validation of data remediation activities.
About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
Specialist / Technical Knowledge in SQL.Comprehensive knowledge of infringement, enforcement and warrant management systems and processes, as well as the common systems functions required to support these.Understanding of the lifecycle of database design, including investigation of business requirements, interface design, integration design, reporting and analytics.There are no mandatory qualifications for this role.
