Senior Operations Officer - Insolvency, Taxes & Grants - Revenue NSWGrade: Clerk Grade 9/10 ($120,859 - $133,183)Role Type: Ongoing, full timeLocation: Gosford, Maitland, Lithgow, Parramatta, or WollongongAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Advisor - Insolvency to join the Tax Debt team within Taxes and Grants Division in Revenue NSW.About usAs NSW's principal revenue agency, Revenue NSW administers state taxation and revenue for and on behalf of the people of NSW. The Tax Debt branch is responsible for resolving debt for several Business Taxes, Land Tax and Duties products as well as assisting customers in meeting their ongoing obligations.Key Responsibilities:Insolvency Case Management: Oversee and manage insolvency cases from initiation to resolution, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.Process Revamp: Evaluate and redesign existing insolvency processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.Compliance Assurance: Ensure all insolvency processes are compliant with the latest laws, regulations, and industry best practices.Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during insolvency proceedings, providing clear communication and expert guidance.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including legal teams, accountants, and financial advisors, to ensure seamless insolvency operations.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement changes, and monitor the impact of these changes over time.Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on insolvency cases and process performance to senior management.Essential requirementsEducation: Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline; or equivalent relevant industry experience. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in insolvency, restructuring, or a related financial discipline, with a proven track record of managing complex cases.Skills:- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.How to apply:Your application should include a cover letter of no more than two pages, and an up-to-date resume of no more than five pages which clearly details your skills and experience relevant to this role.
