Smart Tax Search is working with a large mid-tier (top 10) Accounting firm in the midst of a growth phase.Senior Manager – TaxSmart Tax Search is actively seeking Tax professionals who have aspirations to be part of a growth journey and work towards expanding the Corporate Tax team by 3x over the next 5 years.Key Responsibilities:Collaboratively provide complex transactional tax advice to a diverse range of clients within various industry sectors operating both domestically and internationally.Resolve complex technical issues with the guidance of Directors and Partners.Assist with ATO controversy matters for complex tax issues.Be regularly consulted by other staff and clients for technical advice.Provide complex tax compliance services to clients, including CbC reporting.Be respected within the division and firm for technical expertise and quality outcomes.Make logical choices and conclusions with guidance.Identify, research and resolve complex issues.Analyze and offer alternative solutions for consideration.Consider all relevant facts, developing a range of alternatives or solutions, making recommendations accordingly.Demonstrate sound technical knowledge through quality and accuracy of work.Professionally and commercially scope engagements and resources as appropriate.Manage and coach junior Tax staff.Work Environment:This role will have a focus on tax technical and advisory work. You will have direct interaction with large listed and global clients and have a clear progression path ahead of you with realistic Partnership prospects. This organization prioritizes their staff's work-life balance and wellbeing with typical hours being 9am - 5:30pm and an hour for lunch. Where there is the occasional overtime, they will often provide time off in lieu.Qualifications, Experience and Capabilities:5-10 years' experience in Australian Tax either in a Big 4, large mid-tier or corporate role.Relevant tertiary degree.One or more post-graduate qualifications (CA, CTA and/or Masters of Tax preferred).Proven managerial experience in a prior tax advisory role.Ability to demonstrate the application of strong technical knowledge to commercial transactions.Prior experience in tax strategy implementation, planning support and project management will be advantageous.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.Ability to coordinate, multitask and prioritize work.Accountability for yourself and others.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.For further information, please contact Lauren Smart at ****** or feel free to reach out on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/laurenmaunsell01tax/.
