Position SummaryA Senior Manager in RSM Melbourne's tax division has a broad range of client and people management responsibilities. This is a technically challenging role with a diverse client portfolio to deliver corporate tax advice and support juniors to deliver work. This is underpinned by our three values – integrity in everything that we do, supporting clients everywhere, and developing and valuing everyone.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Identifying and solving issues with Tax implications for clients;Research and analysis of case law and legislation;Coach staff on dealing with complex technical and risk areas;Review of income tax returns and provisions;Management of junior staff members;Mentor and development of junior staff member;Client management;Drafts management letters in conjunction with the Partner providing commercial and practical advice;Understands relevant independence rules and their applicability to the division and Firm;Identifies areas of high risk to the Firm;Technical leader through training staff, conducting client and staff presentations and developing new products and services for clients; andPerforms technical reviews of taxation consulting work.EssentialEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Business / Commerce / Finance degree with Accounting MajorCompleted CA or equivalentDesirableBusiness / Commerce / Finance/ Law double degree with Accounting MajorMaster of TaxationEssentialDEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:8+ years' experience in Professional Services3 – 4 years managing a teamBusiness development experiencePrevious experience managing a teamExcellent client and project management skillsStrong communication SkillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamLife At RSM:RSM provides a great environment to build skills and confidence and we help our people achieve their best.
