Senior Tax Analyst

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:Our client is a leading energy supplier based in Melbourne CBD. They are currently seeking a Senior Tax Analyst for a 9-month fixed term contract.You will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely indirect and direct tax compliance obligations and reporting within the company. You will be a key player in the finance team that will help to drive compliance, navigate complex regulations, and provide expert guidance. This is a rare, exciting and fast-paced role!MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare and review monthly & annual indirect tax returns including BAS/GST returns, FBT returns, payroll tax, interest withholding tax, etc.Prepare income tax returns for the business and related CKI entities.Support the Financial Accounting Team with fixed assets reconciliation and tax effect accounting calculations for financial reporting.Assist in gathering required information for ATO risk reviews and audit requests.Collaborate with key business areas to understand processes and their tax impacts, while fostering tax awareness.Ensure all returns are submitted and taxes are paid by their due dates.Conduct regular reviews to identify improvements in systems, policies, and processes, ensuring they remain efficient, effective, and maintain integrity.ABOUT YOU:CA/CPA Qualified.Strong technical knowledge on income and indirect tax legislation.Previous experience working in a large tax corporate compliance role.Exposure to tax effect accounting.Working knowledge of accounting policies, procedures and principles applicable to fixed assets.Full working rights in Australia.HOW TO APPLY:If you are interested in this role please click 'apply' below or alternatively please send your CV to ******
