We are seeking a dynamic Senior Tax Advisor to join our team at WSP Australia on a Permanent Basis.
Reporting to the Head of Tax for Australia and New Zealand, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our tax compliance and reporting processes are seamless and accurate.
You'll also have the opportunity to utilise and grow your tax advisory skills, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure that tax-related issues are appropriately identified and efficiently resolved.
What you will do: This role encompasses a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities, including:
Responsibility for the direct and indirect tax compliance filing and financial reporting programme for the WSP Australia business.
You will ensure the timely and accurate lodgement of all required monthly and annual statutory tax filings and you'll finalise the monthly and annual tax calculations for financial reporting for all applicable entities within the WSP Australia group.Provision of timely and practical tax advice and assistance to various contacts across the business, including conducting detailed research and drafting tax advice for technical tax queries, filing positions or opportunities.Oversight of the identification and claiming of the Research and Development Tax Incentive.Drafting of the tax responses for internal audits and implementing best practice governance and process improvement initiatives.Assistance for responding to Group queries and implementing Group policies in the Australian context.About you: Skills and experience we expect:
