They offer taxation services for individuals and businesses, as well as business advisory, bookkeeping and self-managed superannuation fund services.
About the position:
Client Engagement
Managing and delivering both compliance and tax advisory services across a portfolio of clients (various industries).
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders through excellent communication skills (face-to-face, written and verbal) and proven delivery.
Assisting with strategic client meetings and ongoing business engagement.
Technical Advice
Preparing tax returns, financial statements, BAS, FBT Returns and other related documents for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs and individuals.
Monitoring client lodgment program to ensure ATO dates are met for income tax, activity statements, STP, TPAR, etc.
Liaising with ATO, ASIC and other government bodies for and on behalf of clients, including preparation of written correspondence to the ATO and other bodies when required in a timely and appropriate manner.
Providing tax advice to clients, including Income Tax, CGT, GST, PAYG, FBT, Payroll Tax, Division 7A.
Working closely with Head of Accounting and Director to provide expert advice on complex tax matters and tax planning strategies.
Establishing appropriate organisational structures including family trusts, private companies, ASIC management, and Land Tax.
Business Advisory
Identifying areas where clients and businesses can improve and increase profitability.
Producing accurate reports on sales forecasts, cash flow, debtors and creditors, profitability, margins etc.
coupled with analysis and commentary where required.
Producing management reports as required to assist clients with decision-making.
The ideal candidate:
A degree in accounting from an Australian institution
Completed or working towards a CA/CPA qualification.
At least 4+ years of experience in an Australian accounting firm.
Experience using MYOB AE, Xero and Excel
Strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation fundamentals
What's on offer:
$110,000 - $120,000 plus superannuation
