PCIAU in Australia manages international and domestic trade of LNG, natural gas, electricity, crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals, and is an active participant in Australia's emerging renewables sector.The RoleAs part of a closely knit team and working closely with the CFO, the Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance and providing leadership and advice on corporate tax policy, tax optimization, and planning.Key functions include implementing and maintaining tax procedures and policies and overseeing the correct allocation of costs. Provide technical tax advice and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant local and international tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices.Based in our conveniently located Brisbane CBD office, we exhibit a calm and professional work environment while maintaining an outcome-focused approach. We are seeking a commercially astute tax professional who will be drawn to the opportunity to take ownership of the role and positively contribute to the development of the overall finance function.Key Responsibilities:Reporting to the CFO, the responsibilities for the role will include:Preparation of RTP schedule, BAS, FBT, payroll tax.Preparation of income tax returns and transfer pricing documentation.Optimizing tax positions and identifying tax-saving opportunities.Providing advice on tax implications of proposed business transactions and regulatory/legislative changes.Maintaining appropriate systems and controls in support of our Risk Management frameworks.Liaising with external tax agents and consultants.Requirements:Degree qualified in tax/accounting/finance preferably with CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA/CTA accreditation.Minimum of 5 years corporate tax experience, ideally with energy commodities exposure.Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Ability to be self-directed and work as a key member of a team.High level of numeracy, analytical and communication skills.To apply, follow the link and upload your application cover letter and current resume by the 21st November 2024.If you have any questions about the role or would like a confidential discussion, please contact James Angliss on (07) 3905 9563.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years of taxation experience do you have?How many years' experience do you have in tax law?
