This well-established boutique accounting firm situated in North Queensland is seeking an experienced and dynamic Tax and Business Services Accountant to join their dedicated and friendly team on a full-time basis
Your new role
You will be working for one of Cairns' fastest growing accounting firm. A leading provider of business services, audit, superannuation, tax and specialist services. Your role will involve a focus on tax returns and financial statements for individuals as well as companies, trusts and partnerships. You will also be liaising regularly with clients whilst building and managing your own portfolio.
Responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to the following:
Preparation of complex income tax returns Tax and accounting - delegating and reviewing work Provide feedback/strategies/recommendations for client's affairs Researching tax issues and report findings Able to develop good relationships with clients Managing clients' workflows, budgets and invoicing Able to mentor staff as required What you'll need to succeed
With demonstrable taxation and accounting abilities, you will have an accounting degree and must be CPA or CA qualified or currently studying towards attaining these credentials. Exceptional communication skills are essential for this role as well as several years' post-degree experience. You will be highly driven, with the confidence and motivation to take your technical knowledge and personal development to the next level.
