Senior Systems Engineer (Defence Systems) EOS is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our leadership team.

This role will involve solving complex engineering problems using a variety of disciplines including software, mechanical, electronics, systems, and testing. As a key player within EOS DS, you will guide product development, ensure strategic alignment with organizational goals, and maintain adherence to governance, safety, and ethical standards. You will have the opportunity to work alongside multi-disciplinary team and manage projects that contribute to the cutting-edge advancements in defense systems.
Key Responsibilities Work alongside a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver projects on time and within scope. Perform system analyses to support product development, ensuring that all requirements are identified, captured, analyzed, and used to guide development activities. Apply ASDEFCON methodologies, DIDs, and CDRLs in system design, and assist the team in their application. Implement rigorous system development methods to ensure the delivery of safe, secure, and reliable systems. Oversee concept demonstration, prototype, and production systems in collaboration with various engineering disciplines. Ensure proper requirements management, design traceability, and configuration management according to relevant standards. Coordinate system engineering reviews, verification, and validation activities, ensuring that all test results meet the requirements for sign-off. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering challenges and deliver innovative solutions.  Desired Skills and Experience About You
You are a proactive and strategic leader with extensive experience in systems engineering. You possess a deep technical knowledge within your specialist disciplines and excel at aligning engineering processes with business objectives. Integrity, safety, and ethics are at the core of everything you do. You have a strong ability to interpret and apply policy and standards, leading by example while providing high levels of support to your team.
Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role. Comprehensive knowledge of systems engineering processes and the full engineering lifecycle. Experience with digital designs, embedded systems, and interpreting electronics systems drawings. Proven expertise in hardware development for electronic products. Experience working in defense, safety engineering, or in similar industries such as rail. Bachelor's degree in engineering is required; postgraduate qualifications are highly desirable. Eligibility for registration on the NER as a Professional Engineer is desirable.
