What You Will Be Doing Your key responsibilities will include: Server Infrastructure Support: Managing on-prem, virtualized, and private cloud server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability. ICT Asset Management: Procuring, installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, operating systems, and associated assets. Backup & Recovery: Overseeing backup operations, ensuring that system data is accurately backed up and promptly recovered in the event of a failure. Technical Support: Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing second and third-level support to ensure systems are operational. System Monitoring & Maintenance: Performing daily system checks, verifying hardware integrity, monitoring logs, and applying system and security patches to reduce vulnerabilities. Documentation & Housekeeping: Maintaining internal technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies in the wiki. Implementing housekeeping procedures, setting up user accounts, and reviewing system access and logs. Infrastructure & Service Management: Administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and DFS services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Proactive System Improvements: Assisting with the design and execution of the digital roadmap, improving systems and business processes using supporting technologies. National Tech Support: Handling Level 2 and 3 technical service tickets on a national basis, providing expert troubleshooting and resolution support. What Type of Person Will Be Successful These are the type of attributes & skills you would possess: Extensive IT Experience: 10+ years of experience as a System Administrator, with a strong background in managing business-critical ICT infrastructure. Advanced Technical Knowledge: Expertise in Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, Linux, SQL Server Administration, Active Directory, Security Groups, and Group Policy. Networking Expertise: A solid understanding of TCP/IP, IPSEC, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, and routing protocols. Cloud & Virtualization Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft 365, VMware, HyperV, and data backup strategies. IT Security Savvy: A strong grasp of IT security principles, ensuring systems are protected from cyber threats. Autonomous & Collaborative: The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail in documentation and system monitoring to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving both hardware and software issues at a national level.
