We are looking for a Senior System Integration Engineer to join the project at an exciting and crucial time. You will provide technical advice for the connection of Marinus Link to the NEM and support the delivery of the overall project as we progress into pre construction and construction phase. Career development opportunity and mentoring from leaders within the organisation Nationally significant project with exposure to large stakeholders Marinus Link is an underground and undersea electricity and data cable that will further connect Tasmania and Victoria. The cable will run 255km undersea from North West Tasmania to Waratah Bay, Victoria, then a further 90km underground to the centre of Gippsland. A nationally significant infrastructure project, Marinus Link will support Australia's renewable energy transition and provide economic and social benefits for communities in both states. Your role Undertake simulations and investigations of the performance of Marinus Link and the networks it connects to for the purposes of design, reporting and advising on integration issues. Provide technical advice on the design and adequacy of System Protection Schemes, frequency and voltage control requirements, steady state, and dynamic stability, including liaison with appropriate regulatory and industry bodies. Communicate highly technical issues and concepts to non-technical audiences. You'll need Recognised Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering with demonstrated experience in system planning/performance or a similar role. Understanding of power system components, the NEM and the Tasmanian/Australian electricity system. Proficiency in transmission planning and analysis software (PSSE & PSCAD). Demonstrated ability to write clear and unambiguous technical documents. An adaptable approach to your work be able to effectively achieve agreed outputs in a shifting environment. These are full time roles for an initial contract of 12 months, with a potential for extension. We offer flexibility with location where possible.
