About the Role This is a technical guidance role which sits between architecture and senior engineer capability and experience.
This position plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the organisation's server, virtualisation, Microsoft ecosystem.
Purpose Designing, implementing, and maintaining systems infrastructure to align with business objectives.Providing technical expertise in systems technologies and adept problem-solving skills.Ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of the systems operating environment.Troubleshooting complex systems issues and providing escalated support.Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.Effectively communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Staying updated on industry trends and recommending systems enhancements.Delivering high-quality systems services and ensuring customer satisfaction.Optimizing systems performance and scalability.Documenting configurations and procedures.Transitioning technologies from delivery to operations.Responsibilities Designing and implementing systems infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and industry best practices.Design and Implement IaaS and PaaS services (Azure, AWS, GCP).Design and Implement on-premises servers, compute infrastructure, virtualization platforms (VMWare & Nutanix), and Microsoft applications and services.Monitoring systems performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure high availability and reliability.Implementing security measures to safeguard systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.Collaborating with IT and security teams to integrate systems with other technology platforms.Conducting performance analysis and capacity planning to optimize systems performance and scalability.Documenting systems configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps in adherence to architectural and operational standards and policies.Qualifications, Experience & Technical Requirements 5+ years experience in designing and implementing complex infrastructure for Cloud, Data Centre, virtualisation.Expertise across multiple systems technologies, including on-premises servers, virtualization (VMWare & Nutanix), Microsoft applications, and compute hardware, SQL, DNS, AD and Azure Cloud Services.Experienced implementing certificate management and server patch management systems and processes.Experience and thorough understanding of ITSM and ITIL processes such as change management, incident management, and configuration management.Strong understanding of systems concepts and protocols.Experience with systems security measures.Proficiency in systems monitoring and management tools (e.g., Dynatrace, ServiceNow).Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Hands-on experience with systems design and implementation.Project management and organizational skills.How to Apply Click APPLY or contact Marisa Conlon, Senior Consultant, Talent Acquisition at ****** for further information on the role.
