Purpose The Server and Storage Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, management, and disaster recovery of the organization's server and storage infrastructure.
This role ensures optimal performance, reliability, and security of server and storage systems while leading a team of engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities Server and Storage ManagementDesign, implement, and manage an up-to-date and automated server and storage environment, ensuring high availability and performance.Develop a plan for server and storage optimization.Develop server and storage architecture that provides optimized resources to applications/systems with a disaster recovery plan that has RTO/RPO based on company business needs.Team LeadershipLead and mentor a team of server and storage engineers, fostering professional development and teamwork.Capacity PlanningAnalyze current infrastructure to plan for future growth and scalability, ensuring efficient resource utilization.Backup and RecoveryDevelop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to protect data integrity that coincides with CIT backup policy.Ensure backup and disaster recovery plans are updated and tested regularly.Performance MonitoringImplement monitoring tools and practices to ensure system performance and proactively address issues.CollaborationWork with other IT teams to support applications, databases, and network requirements.DocumentationMaintain comprehensive documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and procedures aligned with TGI Quality Management Systems (QMS – ISO 9001) and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS – ISO 27001), and related standards.III.
Qualifications A.
Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.4+ years of experience in server and storage management, with a focus on technical lead roles.B.
Minimum Experience/Training Proficient in server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (SAN, NAS).Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VMware Certified Professional, ITIL) are a plus.Familiarity with the following is an advantage:Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)CIS BenchmarksServer and Storage solutionsWindows ClusteringVMware solutionsBackup and auto-replication solutions such as VEEAM and SRMAmazon Web Services (AWS)Monitoring, scanning, and hardening servers and storage platformsC.
Competency Proven leadership experience in leading a server and storage team.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Working knowledge in server and storage maintenance, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.Ability to restore IT computing and services in accordance with the defined disaster recovery plan.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work with minimum supervision.Self-starter and highly motivated.Experienced in writing technical documentation.Takes responsibility for timely completion of work.Passion to acquire and update skills and the ability to learn new tools and techniques quickly.IV.
Working Conditions Can handle multiple assignments/projects.Must be willing to work on-call and on extended hours, especially during network security-related incidents.
