About your new Role Reporting to the National Head of IT, the Senior System Administrator is a highly visible part of the IT team and ensures the reliability and performance of the network and infrastructure for the group.
Key Responsibilities: Participate in the development of the IT roadmap that best meets the needs of the business.
Configuration & maintenance of on-prem servers (Windows) and perform server migrations to cloud (Azure).
Monitoring physical and virtual infrastructure for potential issues.
Acting as the escalation point for level 3 incidents and addressing user-related issues to provide suitable solutions.
Perform hardware upgrades and new equipment rollouts, including phones and operational technologies.
Administer network security including firewalls, virus protection, data loss prevention (PLP), web filters, and gateways.
Perform software, firmware, and application upgrades periodically.
Oversee relationships with external suppliers to ensure that service levels are satisfactory and in line with expectations.
About You You will hold a formal IT qualification as well as other related training such as ITIL or relevant product certifications.
You have proven experience working as a Systems or Network Administrator who has experience performing the above-listed tasks.
You bring sound technical knowledge of Microsoft products, such as Windows servers, Azure AD, Azure virtual desktop, SQL Server, SharePoint & O365.
Interpersonally, you are a team player with a 'Can do' attitude with the ability to prioritise your workday to meet your commitments.
