We are currently seeking applications from experienced Technicians with a minimum of five years' experience within automation.
Working in the National Operations Centre (NOC) and reporting to the Engineering Team Lead, The Senior NOC Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support for engineering and technical tasks on all works for SAGE Group.
The incumbent carries out and supports the delivery of services and projects including PLC, SCADA, OT Networks, Cyber and a range of software for clients of SAGE, conforming at all times to the established methods, policies and procedures, and the technical, quality and safety standards expected at SAGE.
The Senior NOC Support Engineer provides remote technical support services providing both remote point of contact for technical issues arising within the specialised projects which they are delivering and across the broader SAGE Group.
They are a point of escalation for the NOC and Service teams nationally and support the wider business as and when needed.
They assist with training and of less experienced NOC Support Engineers, Automation Technicians and Engineers when required.
Key Result Areas: Provide the first response and/or support the resolution for all new and urgent works as required.
Apply creativity and resourcefulness to resolving problems that arise from service and maintenance tasks.
Identify and mitigate technical risk, escalating high risk items to management.
Manage the quality of technical deliverables.
Mentor and support the technical development of Automation Technicians.
Clearly and accurately document repairs and service records, and ensure they are kept up to date.
Act as the initial point of contact for team members, handling questions and concerns and team member issues, escalating to management as required.
Support NOC Engineers and Automation Technicians with technical issues relating to their service activities as needed.
Assist the Service Manager with onboarding of new Technicians.
Produce and submit high-quality customer quotations.
Identify new and repeat business opportunities.
Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently engage with a broad range of stakeholders and industry sectors.
You will have proven experience of problem solving with the ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions.
