The Senior Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for driving supply chain optimisation and efficiency within the Purchasing and Subcontracts function. The role focuses on developing new and optimising existing supply chain processes to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement in support of the SSN-AUKUS submarine build program.ResponsibilitiesDevelop plans, methodologies and processes to meet the supply chain requirements of the SSN-AUKUS submarine build program.Ensure all supply chain activities comply with defence regulations, particularly export controls. Mitigate risks.Provide inputs into key supply chain contractual deliverables, document associated artefacts and coordinate stakeholders' inputs.Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in supply chain processes and practices.Mentor and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.Analyse complex supply chain data and identify improvement opportunities.About youYou hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.You have a certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) which is highly desirable.You possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the defence or maritime industry.You have a proven track record in supply chain governance, including process development and optimisation.You have an in-depth understanding of export control regimes in complex defence programs.You have strong knowledge of procurement practices and contract management.You are proficient in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).You have experience in dealing with the ASDEFCON framework.This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
