About the Opportunity This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia.
The Senior Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for driving supply chain optimisation and efficiency within the Purchasing and Subcontracts function, focusing on enhancing supply chain processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to support submarine building and sustainment programs.
Responsibilities Implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure all supply chain activities comply with defence regulations and mitigate risks.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and quality.
Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in supply chain processes and practices.
Mentor and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Analyse complex supply chain data and identify improvement opportunities.
Effectively communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve supply chain excellence About you ? You hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
You have a certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) which is highly desirable.
You possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the defense or maritime industry.
You have a proven track record in supply chain optimisation and process improvement.
You have strong knowledge of procurement practices and contract management.
You are proficient in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
You have excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
