Senior Supply Chain Engineer - Materials: SSN AUKUS Build Program ASC is Australia's submarine company.
We built the Royal Australian Navy's Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats' service lives.
We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation's conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia's history.

About the Opportunity
This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia.
The Senior Supply Chain Engineer – Materials will play a crucial role in the technical review and quality assessment of suppliers' systems and operations, ensuring the highest standards for the materials components of the submarine.

Responsibilities
Participate in technical review and quality assessment of suppliers' systems and operations.
Support business processes through active engagement with the external market.
Provide detailed reporting and assist in supply chain development.
Conduct pre-qualification desktop reviews of potential manufacturers and suppliers.
Participate in on-site visits to assess supplier capabilities and quality control processes.
Document findings of initial assessments and gap analyses, including detailed reports and photos.
Review and compare equivalent international standards and understand Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) requirements.
About you
Four-year bachelor's degree in materials engineering or similar satisfying membership of Engineers Australia (or equivalent) at MIEAust level.

You possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
You can set appropriate priorities and work standards, managing multiple parallel tasks with high personal organization.
You are eligible for Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent status.
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
