JOB DESCRIPTION Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Subcontracts Specialist to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST).
This is an opportunity to join our expanding Operations team, as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond.
Based in Perth CBD, this is a long-term commitment role and is available on a permanent full-time / part-time (job share) basis.
Wood "Operations" delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry.
Wood enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent Energy and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting directly to the Contracts & Procurement Lead, you will step up and into a dedicated client contract team.
You will be responsible for the execution of specific aspects of subcontracts execution and/or quantity surveying (where applicable), and guidance of junior subcontract specialists / associates.
Key aspects of the role include: Executing project subcontract operations and co-ordinating interface activities in accordance with company and project requirements.
Executing post-award subcontract activities during the construction phase in the field (where applicable).
Field administration of all construction and services contracts in accordance with applicable corporate and project requirements, systems, procedures, budgets, and schedules.
Regularly monitoring and reporting of progress of activities for which you are responsible.
Ensuring the team's regular update of reports/systems with the required information to allow accurate reporting.
Escalating any critical issues and risks to the Contracts & Procurement Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS You must have full work rights to work in this Australian location.
Ideally, you will hold a degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Commerce, Supply Chain / Logistics from a recognised institution, have RICS qualification or industry equivalent, and have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Heavy Industrial sectors of the Construction industry.
You will also have: Demonstrated experience in industry best practices supply chain principles and techniques.
Detailed knowledge of suppliers, commercial evaluations, negotiations, terms and conditions of contract and industry forms of subcontract.
Good experience with computer systems (i.e.
ERM, SAP).
Be commercially astute with a "solutions mindset" and sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements.
Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood.
