The position is based in Brisbane.Responsibilities:In supporting the position, the successful candidate will be required to:Develop sourcing strategies and approaches to market for network and communications, IT and defence type goods and services;Draft, execute and manage a range of contracts types spanning construction, IT and communications equipment and other defence type hardware;Engage with internal and external stakeholders;Maintain a relationship with suppliers and drive collaboration to ensure on time performance and compliance;Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning and progress reporting;Ensure compliance with supply chain management and program corporate governance policies and procedures.Experience/QualificationsThe right applicant will have a combination of the following competencies:Five (5) years' or more work experience in contracts management or procurement with prior experience in an engineering or project delivery organization being highly desirable;Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, commerce or business;Strong written and verbal communications skills;Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed in procurement and contracting and their interdependencies with other disciplines (for example, engineering, logistics, finance);A willingness to work in a team environment in support of a dynamic customer.Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements and applicants with current Australian defence clearances are highly desirable.CultureWe are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
