The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Senior Subcontracts Specialist (Contracts Management Professional) to join our Joint Systems business division to support a range of Australian network and communications programs.
The position is based in Brisbane.
Responsibilities: In supporting the position, the successful candidate will be required to: Develop sourcing strategies and approaches to market for network and communications, IT and defence type goods and services; Draft, execute and manage a range of contracts types spanning construction, IT and communications equipment and other defence type hardware; Engage with internal and external stakeholders; Maintain a relationship with suppliers and drive collaboration to ensure on time performance and compliance; Participate in risk identification, mitigation planning and progress reporting; and Ensure compliance with supply chain management and program corporate governance policies and procedures.
Experience/Qualifications The right applicant will have a combination of the following competencies: Five (5) years' or more work experience in contracts management or procurement with prior experience in an engineering or project delivery organization being highly desirable ; Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, commerce or business; Strong written and verbal communications skills; Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed in procurement and contracting and their interdependencies with other disciplines (for example, engineering, logistics, finance); and A willingness to work in a team environment in support of a dynamic customer.
