About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and committed person to join our community as our Senior Studies Coordinator commencing in Semester One 2025.
The Senior Studies Coordinator supports the Assistant Principal – Teaching and Learning in supporting senior students to navigate the Yr 11 and 12 BSSS system including adhering to all policies and procedures.
They are an active member of the middle leadership team and support staff to understand requirements for teaching senior students in the ACT.
This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on leave or secondment. Selection Criteria A comprehensive understanding of Catalyst initiatives and High Impact Teaching Practices and the need to provide appropriate support and feedback to teaching staff.A thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and learning within the classroom and across the school.Demonstrated capability to coordinate a teaching team effectively, to supervise staff across different subject areas, to promote their own and the department's professional development and to work with the staff to effect change.Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
This includes high-level mediation and conflict resolution skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to build community.The ability to exercise sound judgment, including dealing with confidential matters.Other Eligibility Criteria You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.This position involves working with children.
