Bligh Tanner has an opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer with 5 -12 years' experience in the industry. You will need the appropriate qualifications with evidence of your experience in the design of a variety of projects using different materials. This is a full-time, permanent position.

The Opportunity Based in Sydney, your role will include the design and delivery of a wide and varied range of projects. You will be given the opportunity to run projects and liaise directly with clients. At Bligh Tanner you will get hands on support from the directors and your peers including senior engineers. This is a unique opportunity to grow with an expanding practice. This role would suit a person that is passionate about structural engineering and design.
The Role Duties include the investigation, modelling, analysis, design, documentation of a variety of structural engineering projects which typically involve buildings, pedestrian bridges, landscape elements:
• Manage structural engineering projects from inception through to completion including:
Preliminary to detail design and documentationSubmission of fee proposals for ongoing work and management of the administration of jobs including:Invoicing for work completedEnsuring the scope of work is followed or that new fee arrangements are madeTracking of job profitability to realise appropriate job profitsWhat we would Like Relevant Tertiary QualificationsMinimum 5 years' experience in structural engineering design particularly in architectural buildings, heritage and institutional projectsExperience in design using materials such as steel, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry and timberDemonstrated expertise in relevant analysis software programs.Experience in software such as Spacegass, RAM Concept, Strand 7, RAPT and Inducta software would be considered favourablyWhat we think is important Professional approach to workBalanced approach to lifeClear career aspirationsPositive contributor to a small teamwork environmentClient-focusedConfidentHold safety as a personal core valueLife At Bligh Tanner We have strong values tied to our people, our work, and our conscience.
