We are seeking a skilled engineer with a strong background in water infrastructure, pipelines, and civil works to join our dynamic SA Government department for an exciting 6-month contract.If you have the expertise to design, investigate, and audit pipeline and civil engineering projects and are passionate about safety and innovation, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities :Pipeline & Civil Engineering Design : Lead the investigation, design, and technical auditing of pipeline and civil projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.Safety Leadership : Promote and implement a culture of safety through the "Safety in Design" process, prioritizing health, safety, and risk management at all stages of project design and delivery.Technical Support & Expertise : Provide expert technical advice to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes that meet customer and business expectations.Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to deliver successful project outcomes, providing timely and accurate documentation and recommendations.Travel : Be prepared to travel to various project sites as required to oversee designs and audits in different locations.To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need :Relevant Experience : Extensive experience in pipeline and civil engineering, particularly within the water industry (highly recommended).Skills & Qualifications : A tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering, ideally specialising in Pipeline Engineering.Technical Expertise : Proven ability in the investigation, design, and auditing of complex engineering projects, with a strong focus on pipeline and civil infrastructure.Report Writing & Condition Assessments : Proficient in technical report writing, asset condition assessments, and the development of engineering standards and guidelines.Current Driver's License : Ability to travel to various sites across the region.Experience with design software (e.g., Caeser, Microstran).Familiarity with hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater, and roadworks design.Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and engage with stakeholders across various sectors.This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to apply their expertise and contribute to meaningful projects.If you have the required skills and are ready for your next role, apply today by sending your updated resume to :
