About the job

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving sustainability and providing technical expertise and support to our engineering team. You will be responsible for delivering top-quality technical investigation, design, audit, and advisory services related to water and wastewater infrastructure.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
Drive sustainable outcomes for SA Water and customers.
Conduct specialist investigation, scoping, and design for SA Water projects within time and budget constraints.
Deliver timely, accurate, and cost-effective information to customers while minimising delays.
Initiate value-added initiatives for the engineering team to meet customer needs.
Collaborate within the structural discipline engineering team and with other technical disciplines and partners.
Provide timely, accurate information, and documentation, consulting stakeholders to meet customer expectation.
Advocate for SA Water's technical standards and guidelines in structural discipline components.
Your success in this role will come from:
Tertiary Engineering qualifications.
Experience in the utilisation and auditing of technical and infrastructure standards.
Postgraduate qualifications and affiliation and recognition of discipline expertise by Engineers Australia (Desirable).
Detailed knowledge of Structural engineering procedures and practices as applied to the water industry and large engineering organisations and leading expert function as SME (Desirable).
Experience in the provision of investigation, options, concept and detailed design of Structural discipline installations associated with the water industry at a high professional level and auditing of designs prepared by others (Desirable).
Demonstrated experience in the execution of novel, complex and critical engineering investigations and designs in Structural discipline engineering (Desirable).
