Project Types: Residential, including subdivisions Agricultural Industrial / Commodity Processing Education Due to a senior member of staff nearing retirement, we are now searching for a Senior Structural Engineer to join the business with the view to transition into the Structural Manager's role in due course.
The Role As the Senior Structural Engineer your primary objective will maintaining stability for the consultancy by assisting the incumbent transition out of the business while maintaining the quality and timeliness of the business' engineering outputs.
Furthermore, you will also be tasked with realizing the business' growth potential through optimizing workflows and assisting with new business development where appropriate.
Tasks and Duties: Producing and/or reviewing structural designs Allocating jobs Liaising with clients and external stakeholders Conducting site inspections Providing leadership to, and assisting in the development of, other engineers through guidance and instruction You In order to succeed in the role, you must be a tertiary qualified engineer with a demonstrable track record of success in a similar role.
You will have the following: Minimum of Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) RPEQ/CPEng – or evidence of progression towards achieving these accreditations Approximately 5-7 years Australian engineering consultancy experience Competency in any of the industry standard design software e.g.
Auto CAD, Revit, Microstran A systematic, logical and efficient design methodology/approach Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small cohesive team when required The Reward If successful, you will be afforded a seat at the table and the opportunity to put your mark on this well reputed business.
