Keep abreast of emerging BIM technologies and latest technology releases aswell as driving efficiency by implementing new procedures and best practices.
Involvement in project start up meetings, collaborate within the team to come up with effective solutions during the design development phase.
Impart your knowledge and offer technical guidance to a growing team of drafters.
Take the driving seat in building documentation from concept to completion.
This will of course require you to be well versed in resolving design/construction challenges across disciplines.
This is not a role where you will spend a lot of time fixing the wrongs of past projects.
Instead, you have your pick of major new building projects won.
Tackle something new and challenging!
Your next step would be a Supervisor/Coordinator role, accountable for 2-3 Drafters to delegate work to.
You must have at least 5 years drafting experience on large-scale building projects to be considered for this role.
