About this position The City of Gosnells Future Planning branch has a rare opportunity for a passionate and highly skilled individual to play a vital role in shaping land-use strategies and driving sustainable development.

As a Senior Strategic Planner, the role involves driving the preparation, statutory approval and implementation of major land-use planning projects.
From overseeing structure plans and scheme amendments to coordinating technical investigations, this position contributes significantly to achieving high standards of sustainable development.
In this role, you will Prepare and deliver strategic land-use planning projects, including Development Contribution Plans and Structure Plans Coordinate consultants and assess tenders for technical investigations and design services Provide expert advice to Council, executive teams and stakeholders on planning initiatives Support collaboration by offering guidance and assistance to peers within the Future Planning team Represent the City in tribunal appeals and negotiate with landowners, government agencies and other stakeholders What we are looking for To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate: Substantial experience in urban planning, with expertise in infrastructure and servicing requirements Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills High level of interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to deliver complex projects autonomously and meet tight deadlines Essential requirements Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline.
Current driver's licence.
