About the RoleAs a Senior Strategic Designer, you will be part of a small, flexible, and highly capable Customer Engagement - Strategy & Transformation team.
You'll play a crucial role in the development of integrated customer experiences and strategic initiatives that will enhance the bank's competitive positioning and supporting our customers through all assisted, physical and digital channels.
This team also oversees the development of the 3-year sales and service strategy for the division as well as the Annual Operating Plan.
The Senior Strategic Designer will aid in the development of the Customer Engagement Experience Strategy by inputting into all aspects of the customer and banker journey.
This includes transforming pathways and bringing together data and insights to support strategic recommendations that inform the overarching customer strategy.

Role Location: Melbourne or Sydney All applications require a submission of a condensed portfolio no larger than 5MB showcasing key projects you have scoped right through to delivery. What will your day look like?As a Senior Strategic Designer, your key accountabilities include:
Collaborating to build an integrated Customer Experience: Collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders and customers, to gather valuable insights that drive business strategies and initiatives and demonstrate the ability to adapt and tailor your approach to meet the needs of various situations and stakeholder requirements.Building and communicating strategies: Possess the ability to convey complex concepts and strategies through compelling stories and narratives, presenting outcomes to a diverse range of stakeholders.
With the capability of articulating ideas clearly, whether providing a high-level overview or delving into detailed specifics as needed.Creating design artefacts: You use creative and engaging ways to present your work and outcomes in a visually impactful way.
This includes creating artefacts using tools such as PowerPoint, Figma/Figjam or other formats as appropriate.Research: Leverage data, existing research and conduct both qualitative and quantitative research to gain a deep understanding of business, customer, and market needs and identify opportunities across all stages of the design process (test, learn and iterate).Use your craft: Utilise your expertise in using design-led methods to analyse the ecosystem that the strategy operates.
Ideate, prototype and effectively communicate solutions or recommendations.
You will be able to adapt and flex your approach based on the situation and stakeholders as appropriate.Facilitating alignment among diverse stakeholders: Unite diverse groups of stakeholders by adopting a neutral and balanced approach to foster alignment by building trust, fostering engagement, and creating a collaborative environment to drive effective outcomes.
Demonstrate approachability and expertise by actively listening and sharing your knowledge and experience in a way that instils trust and confidence.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
7+ years as a multi-disciplinary strategic/service designer with solid background across both digital and non-digital experiences.Experience across as many of the following: financial services sector, management consulting, or strategy.Experience in designing for multi-channel experiences, customer support functions and teams.Confidence with a range of design / software tools (e.g.
