If so, read on… Our region is growing rapidly, with this growth comes the opportunity to support liveable communities.We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Community Engagement Adviser to join our team focused on delivering community engagement strategies for major planning and infrastructure projects. Leading a small team, you will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across the business with multidisciplinary and diverse teams. You will be responsible for community engagement activities (such as developing content, surveys, information sessions, webinars, citizens juries and customer forums) for various projects as well as ensuring the community are informed and have genuine opportunities to participate in Barwon Water projects. You will provide leadership to your team and peers through the provision of specialist community engagement advice to internal stakeholders and contribute to fostering a best-practice approach to community and stakeholder engagement with Barwon Water. Success in this role will see Barwon Water continue to achieve for our community. As a leader in community engagement professional you will have highly developed communication skills and well-rounded interpersonal skills; someone who is able to manage teams and develop lasting relationships to achieve mutual beneficial outcomes. With a sound risk radar and experience in issues management, you will be capable to work autonomously and providing end to end delivery of community engagement activities for major projects. You will be inquisitive and curious and seek to bring creativity and innovation to problem solving. At your heart you will be community minded and understand the need to keep our customers informed in a timely manner on projects. Your experience in community engagement leadership will be underpinned by your qualifications in community engagement and communications. You will possess strong organisational skills, along with the ability to generate customer friendly information and adapt it for different platforms.
