Fyfe is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing comprehensive engineering, environmental, planning, and surveying services throughout Australia. We are looking for a Senior Stormwater Engineer to join our expanding South Australian Civil team. The successful candidate will possess stormwater design experience in property and infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for growing and leading a team to deliver on highly technical and complex engineering works across our extensive client portfolio. Skills & Experience As the successful candidate, you can anticipate a variety of duties that leverage your current expertise as a Senior Stormwater Engineer in areas such as stormwater drainage design, flood modeling, and reporting. This role presents an opportunity for you to enhance your skills and knowledge, paving the way for advancement to the role of Principal Stormwater Engineer, where effective leadership and strong technical proficiency is essential. The position will encompass a variety of projects including stormwater drainage design for land development, road and infrastructure projects, including flood investigations. Key Skills Include: High proficiency in hydrology and hydraulic theory. Develop stormwater management strategies and prepare reports that succinctly demonstrate the proposed approach. Superior modelling skills using industry recognised software packages including TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS and 12 D. Prepare and provide input into the stormwater design drawings. Ensure engineering design practices and standards in the organisation are in accordance with Australian Standards, guides and codes as appropriate, meeting industry best practice. Review engineering designs, plans, and prepare project specifications. Prepare concept, feasibility and detailed design documentation and obtain relevant reviews and approvals. Meet with project team on a regular basis to provide advice on stormwater drainage. Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a similar relevant degree. Proficient in stormwater and flood modelling software packages including DRAINS, TU-FLOW, HEC-RAS and 12 D. Experience in South Australia. Diverse experience within hydrology and hydraulic projects. High level communication, interpersonal and team management skills. Advanced time management, planning and organisational skills. Advanced initiative and ability to solve problems.
