We are looking for a Senior Statutory Planner to join our dynamic Statutory Planning team to provide a customer-focused and efficient planning service to our community. You will have responsibility for a diverse range of statutory planning matters and Council's road discontinuance and deviation program, as well as preparing submissions and representing Council at VCAT and contributing to the continuous improvement of statutory planning processes and procedures.

Providing quality and professional planning advice and communications to customers in a timely manner to engender public confidence in the statutory planning processAssessing, preparing, and making recommendations on planning applicationsPreparing submissions and representing Council at the Victorian Civil and Administrative TribunalManaging Council's road discontinuance and deviation processContributing to the continuous improvement of statutory planning processes and proceduresYou will have: A Tertiary qualification in town planning (degree or diploma) or significant demonstrated experience in the discipline or related disciplineExtensive experience in statutory planning rolesKnowledge and ability to interpret planning schemes, planning and related legislation, regulation, and policiesAbility to research, analyse, assess and determine planning permit and related applications and issuesSound analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skillsExceptional communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skillsAbility to manage time, set priorities, and contribute to and implement your work plan.Apply now Permanent full-time position, based in Bright is preferred but for the right candidate hybrid work arrangements may be negotiatedSalary Band 7 classification from $97,430 - $109,276 + superannuationMonthly Rostered Day OffPeople of all genders, abilities, ages, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to applyContact Rebecca Mouy, Manager Regulatory Services on (03) 57 550 555.Please Note: Recruitment activities, including interviews and application assessments, will be paused from 20 December 2024 to 5 January 2025 due to office closure.
