The City of Karratha is seeking a Senior Statutory Planner to join our dynamic Planning Services team.
In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and timely statutory planning services, working on complex planning applications, and contributing to strategic development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and implement statutory planning strategies, policies, and development approvals.Assess complex development applications, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.Provide expert advice on planning matters, ensuring compliance with local and state planning legislation.Assist in the development and refinement of planning schemes, policies, and procedures.Prepare reports for Council and the Joint Development Assessment Panel.Skills & Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in land use planning or a related field.Minimum 3 years of relevant planning experience (preferred).Strong knowledge of planning legislation and development processes.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.Why join us?
