There is a strong emphasis on professional development, inclusiveness, training, and community engagement.The RoleLocated near Moura, the position of Senior Station Hand is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to become a key part of the Moura beef cattle operation which spans 27,000 acres and focuses on backgrounding feeder cattle as well as approximately 500 breeding cows.You will be involved in various tasks including but not limited to:Cattle husbandry and handlingMustering and moving stock using motorbikes in cell grazing systemsFencing and maintaining water infrastructureOperating machineryManaging grazing and overall property maintenanceWorking directly with the property manager and supportive employers, you will be encouraged to be an active participant in planning and development decision-making while unleashing your potential with personalised development opportunities and hands-on training provided on the job.The OfferAs the successful candidate, ideally commencing in mid-January 2025, you will receive a competitive remuneration package, including accommodation with electricity and meat allowance, to be negotiated. Comfortably accommodated in a 3-bedroom, air-conditioned home with shed access, you will reside on an adjoining property approximately 4.5km from the main complex.There is a school bus run 2.5km from Homestead to Moura, providing both primary and secondary schools. 45km away you will find Moura which is a great location and community with regular social events, sporting teams and facilities, close to the Dawson River for great water skiing and fishing. Moura provides most services and employment opportunities for partners.The Ideal CandidateIdeally, you will be passionate about regenerative agriculture practices, have experience in a similar role, practice a high standard of animal husbandry and handling, and be willing to be involved in a family operation.
