Senior Stakeholder & Communications Advisor

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Stakeholder Engagement Advisor. You will lead stakeholder engagement and communication activities, ensuring alignment with corporate values and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and implement comprehensive engagement strategies to foster open and transparent relationships with communities, government agencies, and industry stakeholders. Your ability to build trust will be essential in supporting our initiatives and objectives. Communication Development: Create and deliver high-quality communication materials tailored for various audiences. You will be responsible for ensuring that all messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with our organizational goals. Issue Management: Navigate complex and evolving issues by applying strong stakeholder management skills. You will develop strategies for risk mitigation and provide strategic communications advice to address potential concerns. Regulatory Oversight: Oversee the preparation of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with public communications policies. This includes tracking stakeholder engagement activities and ensuring that all communications meet regulatory requirements. Mentorship: Actively mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative environment where innovation and creativity are encouraged. Your leadership will help develop the skills of others in the team. Crisis Communication: Participate in crisis communications preparedness and management, ensuring that our organization is equipped to respond effectively to any challenges that may arise. Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in communications, public policy, social sciences, or a related discipline. A minimum of 10 years' experience in stakeholder relations or communications, demonstrating a track record of success in managing complex projects. Strong analytical, research, and strategic planning skills to inform decision-making and communication strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and a compliance-focused mindset. Proven ability to represent the organisation at external events, functions, and meetings, showcasing diplomacy and effective dispute resolution skills.
