A new position is being created for a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician at the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.

Your opportunity: The purpose of this role is to provide high quality evidence-based clinical management, treatment, and care to patients requiring Respiratory and Sleep Management services at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals.
This care will be provided within the scope of practice granted by Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS).The exceptional care that our patients receive is provided through multidisciplinary teamwork, leadership, and the effective implementation of quality and safety systems.The position also actively participates in research, development, and implementation of education and training not just with medical staff but across the multidisciplinary team in line with best practice.Opportunity for Private Practice: The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals.
The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways.Assistance with credentialing and administrative support to commence private practice.Introduction to local GPs, physicians, and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways.Our Offer: We are offering a competitive remuneration package valued up to $528,085 p.a., including salary between $210,332 - $266,677 p.a., generous employer superannuation (up to 12.75%), salary sacrifice perks, and flexible rostering for optimal work/life balance.
