Supporting the Director, your role will be crucial in guaranteeing that the Emergency Medical Services offered by CQHHS at Gladstone Hospital are both efficient and customer-centric. Specifically, Senior Medical Officers and Staff Specialists will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining a robust specialist training program for Emergency Medicine. About the role: Gladstone Hospital Emergency department is transitioning into newly constructed $42 million state of art emergency department. This position will give opportunity in developing and implementing a contemporary evidence-based model of care. About you: To be successful in this role you must have: Staff Specialist: MBBS or equivalent to be eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) certification. Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent specialist qualification to enable registration as a Specialist in Emergency Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Applicants who have completed their ACEM Fellowship Written examination and expect to meet the essential requirements of this position within the next six months are also encouraged to apply. Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies. Senior Medical Officer: MBBS or equivalent to be eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Applicants who have completed their ACEM Fellowship Written examination and expect to meet the essential requirements of this position within the next six months Post-graduate qualifications related to generalist hospital practice (e.g. FACRRM, FRACGP, Advanced Skills Training in Emergency Medicine or Generalist Medicine) would be well regarded. Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) certification.
