You will be based at the main referral centre within the North West Hospital and Health Service. Patients from other facilities across the north west region who require specialist treatment and care are referred to either the hospital or to other major hospitals within Queensland. This is a great opportunity to develop areas of clinical interest to you within anaesthesia (including obstetrics and regional), ICU, perioperative medicine, pain management, medical education and wellbeing. Alongside providing training to anaesthetic trainees and other health professionals and ensure continued evidence-based practice. This position requires the incumbent to operate a "C" class vehicle, and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. New patient triage and ensuring all necessary results relevant to the consultation are present 3. Review and triage of incoming results 4. Answer enquiries from new and existing patients about clinical care and psychological concerns via phone or email 5. Cancer genetics assessment, counselling, and testing. (Cancer risk assessment for those who may be at elevated risk for breast cancer development- ongoing follow up or management of women at high-risk for breast cancer) 6. Post operative wound care and assessment of complications 7. Assist in ordering and interpreting imaging 8. Provide cancer survivorship assessments and plan 9.
