The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Database Administrator to maintain, optimize, and enhance our SQL Server database environments.

Key Responsibilities: * Conduct daily health checks to ensure optimal database performance and proactively address potential issues.
* Manage database stability and contribute to future strategies aligned with industry best practices.
* Drive continuous improvement through automation, reporting, and tool deployment.
* Implement governance best practices to enhance database services for internal and external users.
* Perform maintenance tasks, including index rebuilds, statistics updates, and patching, to ensure system reliability.
* Collaborate closely with key business stakeholders while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Essential Skills & Experience * 5+ years of experience in database administration within large organisations.
* Proficiency in SQL Server management, platform monitoring, and automation scripting (PowerShell, T-SQL).
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to provide technical and process recommendations.
* Expertise in managing system security, compliance, and performance optimisation.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Desirable Skills * Familiarity with SQL Server services such as SSRS and SSIS.
* Proficiency with tools like SQL Server Management Studio.
* Expertise in managing large datasets, schema design, and query optimisation.
* Advanced knowledge of SQL features and database security practices.
