Description Senior Biosecurity Officer Lead the delivery of biosecurity and National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) regulatory programs, providing advisory services to ensure compliance with legislated obligations for pest and disease management, livestock, and plant traceability. Manage a team of Biosecurity Officers, guiding and directing their work to achieve program objectives. Develop and implement compliance programs to meet legislated requirements, collaborating with internal teams to deliver integrated customer-focused advice and services. Support emergency preparedness and response within the Agriculture and Animal Services Functional Area. Collaborate with stakeholders from agriculture, natural resource management, invasive species, and business services functions to provide expert advice and services. Raise awareness among landholders, community groups, government agencies, and other stakeholders about biosecurity issues. Deliver training on best practice pest management controls to landholders and support them in implementing control programs. The role requires a Certificate IV in Government Investigations as a minimum qualification.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders from various functions to provide expert advice and services. Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
