Our purpose is `great care every day'. About your opportunity: Fixed term temporary part-time, 15.2 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP up to 30/06/2025. The Senior Speech Pathologist will provide a high level of Speech Pathology expertise for screening and assessment for children referred to the Community Paediatric service at Kirwan campus.  Use high-level understanding and clinical reasoning to influence management of paediatric health outcomes with internal and external service providers and provide high-level clinical assessments, evidence-based intervention and appropriate referral to follow-up healthcare.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Proven ability to work at a high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in Speech Pathology assessment, analysis, intervention and caseload management, and application of clinical based practice within a complex caseload Proven ability to work effectively as a discipline leader within a transdisciplinary therapy team, including the ability to provide non-routine advice to operational and professional supervisors, peers and subordinate staff. Proven ability to incorporate a family centred approach into service delivery. Proven ability to deliver innovative and flexible services that meet the needs of the community. Proven ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision to subordinate personnel. Proven ability to actively contribute to service planning and development. What's on offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $2,546 p.m. comprising: Salary range of $62.75 to $67.53 p.h. (HP4) Annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Role Requirements: The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Speech Pathology and be eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia. Blue Card Checks required. Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position. 5.1.  This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
